As a Program Evaluation Specialist, Chara supports program leads in continuous improvement efforts using data, strategic planning and formative and summative evaluative methods. Chara has served as GSLA Regional Leadership Coach supporting principals in turnaround work and those aspiring to become principals in districts throughout the state. 

Prior to joining GOSA, she has served as a turnaround principal and attained several honors such as being named a “Beating the Odds” School by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and being highlighted a “Success Story” at the 2017 Solutions Summit by the Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. Chara also has served at the district level as Program Manager for the Office of Leadership Development and Capacity where she developed the district's comprehensive leadership vision and principal pipeline strategy. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University, and obtained her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006 from Argosy University. Chara is reading and leadership endorsed and holds national mentor trainer certification from NAESP. Chara resides in Kathleen, GA.
