About the Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc.

The purpose of the Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc. is to support the work of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.  The Foundation provides financial support for innovation by matching private donations with state-appropriated dollars. The Foundation has a Board of Directors representing various professions and areas of the state.  The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing Foundation operations, establishing the strategic direction, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements, and keeping the Foundation financially healthy.

The Qualified Education Donation Tax Credit 

The Qualified Education Donation Tax Credit allows individuals and corporations to donate to the Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc. (IFF) and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit (not just a deduction) on their state income taxes, subject to availability. The Foundation is authorized to receive up to $5 million through this tax credit on a first come, first served basis. The funds will be used to provide grants to public schools to improve student achievement, with a priority on schools identified in the bottom 5% of performance.
