Prior to joining GOSA, she served for three years as an Evaluation System Specialist with the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness Division of the Georgia Department of Education.  Previously, she served as an elementary school administrator, a district director of accountability and technology, and a district testing coordinator. She also taught math and business applications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, a Master's in Instructional Technology/Computers from Appalachian State University, and an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from North Georgia College and State University. Julie lives in Watkinsville, Georgia, with her husband. She is the mother of three boys.
