The Innovation Fund Foundation Announces the Launch of the Rural Innovation Fund
Applications will be accepted from March 1 through March 31

The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) announces the opening of the Rural Innovation Fund. In partnership with the Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE), the Rural Innovation Fund (RIF) will provide traditional public schools, charter schools, and school districts up to $10,000 to implement innovative projects that deeply engage students, parents, and/or teachers.

An “innovative project” is defined as an initiative that solves an existing problem in an inventive way and that has the potential to have a large and lasting impact on the academic environment.

The purpose of the Innovation Fund Foundation, Inc. is to support the work of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. The IFF provides financial support for innovation to schools, school districts, and 501(c)3 organizations primarily through donations to the Qualified Education Donation Tax Credit.

The GFPE is the foundation of the Georgia Department of Education. GFPE supports educational excellence for Georgia’s K-12 students through primary funding from the Educator license plates and private donations.

Eligibility Requirements include: a county population of no more than 35,000, along with other requirements for the application process.
