Accountability

Under the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), and as mandated by state law in O.C.G.A. ยง 20-14-26, Georgia is required to develop a Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) for public schools and districts that includes information on school performance and characteristics.

 

The Accountability Section of the Report Card provides information on following areas:

  • Accreditation for all K-12 public schools,

  • Assessment participation rates for students in all K-12 public schools

  • Graduation Rate Targets for all public high schools, and

  • Performance Targets on statewide assessments for all public elementary, middle, and high schools
