In this role, she will support principals in turnaround work and those aspiring to become principals in districts throughout the state.  Prior to joining GOSA, Karen served as an elementary school principal with the Priority School designation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Morris Brown College, and graduate degrees/certification in Elementary Education and School Leadership from Clark Atlanta University and Georgia State University. She is currently working to complete her doctorate at Mercer University in School Leadership. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, son, and two daughters.
