Joy Hawkins

Executive Director

Joy Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Georgia State University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Georgia State College of Law.

Fran Dundore

Director of School Services

Fran has spent the past 25 years an educator serving student and teachers in the state of Georgia. She began her career as a high school English teacher and went on to serve an instructional coach, assistant principal, district director and assistant superintendent for teaching and learning.

Donovan Head

Deputy Director

Donovan Head holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University.

Jackie has worked for the State of Georgia for over 22 years.

Stacey Lutz

Director of Strategic Programs and Evaluations

Stacey joined GOSA in July of 2015. Prior to beginning her work with GOSA, she served for three years as an Evaluation System Specialist with the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness Division of the Georgia Department of Education. Stacey is also Director of the Governor's School Leadership Academy.

Malenka Warner

Director of Communications

Malenka began her career as a journalist and became a radio news director before changing her career path toward marketing, communications, and promotion.

Alice Aka

Office Manager / Assistant to Executive Director

Alice joined the GOSA team September of 2019. As GOSA's Office Manager, she serves as the public's first point of contact for the agency. Alice also manages GOSA's day-to-day functions such as accounts payable, staff management and reporting, specific communications responsibilities to keep the Governor's Office informed regarding education issues, as well as executive assistant duties for the Executive Director, Joy Hawkins.

Karen Brown-Collier

Regional Leadership Coach, Governor's School Leadership Academy

Karen joined GOSA in August of 2018 as a Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach.

Rhonda Burns

Business Manager

Rhonda Burns joined GOSA in April 2019 as the Business Manager.

Diane Burrell

Operations Specialist

As GOSA's Operations Specialists, Diane maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and policies.

Trevor Cason

GHP Program Specialist

In this role, Trevor provides logistical and operational support to the Innovative Programs Team at GOSA, specifically the Governor’s Honors Program, the RESA Professional Learning grants, and the Reading Mentors Program.

Sean Coy

Technology Services Manager/Information Security Officer

As GOSA's system administrator, Sean acts in a technical support role both inside the GOSA team and as a technical liaison to external agencies and vendors.

Kimberly Creagh

Senior Program Manager, Induction Support Programs, Governor's School Leadership Academy

Kimberly joined GOSA in July of 2015. During her tenure at GOSA, she has worked as a Reading Mentor Specialist, SWSS Coordinator/Research Specialist, Program Manager of Operations, and she now serves as a Senior Program Manager for the Governor’s School Leadership Academy (GSLA) working with Induction Support Program strands.

David Evans

Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Engineer, GA•AWARDS

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Philosophy and two Master’s Degrees in Economics and Computer Science.

Monica Flamini holds two bachelor's degrees, a master’s degree, and a PhD. 

Kenneth L. Johnson, Jr.

Co-Director, Governor's School Leadership Academy

Kenneth joined GOSA in July of 2018 on the Governor’s School Leadership Academy team. In this role, his primary function is to partner with educators aspiring to become principals while also supporting at large GSLA programming.

Jayashree Krishnan

Chief Data and Analytics Strategist, GA•AWARDS

As the Chief Data and Analytics Strategist Jayashree directs the technical design, delivery, and implementation of the GA AWARDS statewide longitudinal data system.

Michael Moore

Senior Business Intelligence Architect, GA•AWARDS

Michael serves as a Business Intelligence Architect for the GA•AWARDS longitudinal data system.

Charre' N. Moulton

Program Manager, GSLA Teacher Leader Support Program

Charre' joined GOSA in July of 2022.  She is entering her 26th year in education.  Prior to beginning her work with GOSA, she served for eight years as a RESA Consultant.

Kelly Jo Page joined GOSA in July 2021 as a Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach.

Program Manager, Governor's Honors Program

Richard (Ricky) joined GOSA as the Governor’s Honors Program Manager in June of 2014. Ricky has over twenty years of educational experience in both public and independent schools at both instructional and administrative levels.

Brian supports the GOSA staff with information technology needs. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the IT field.

Haley joined GOSA after working with the agency as a Policy & Advocacy Summer Fellow through Leadership for Educational Equity.

Marcia Strong

Program Manager, GSLA Principal Program, Governor’s School Leadership Academy

Marcia has twenty plus years of education experience. In her role with GOSA, she supports principals and aspiring leaders in districts across the state in leadership development work.

Angela Strozier

Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach

Dr. Strozier joined GOSA in June of 2021 as a Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach.

Kimberly joined GOSA in July of 2015 as Program Manager for the Reading Mentor Program.

Governor’s School Leadership Academy & Growing Readers, Regional Lead Coach/Evaluation and Research

Chara brings over 20 years of Georgia educator experience. She has served as elementary classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional/literacy coach, assistant principal, an award winning turnaround principal and district level leader in the areas of Literacy and Leadership Development.
