GOSA Team

Alice has worked in state government for over 19 years. Prior to joining the GOSA team September 2019, Alice worked for Georgia Student Finance Commission where she managed the Student Aid Services Call Center.

Karen joined GOSA in August of 2018 as a Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach.

Rhonda Burns joined GOSA in April 2019 as the Business Manager.

As GOSA's Operations Specialists, Diane maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and policies.

Ruby joined GOSA in August of 2019 as our GRASP Counseling Program Specialist. In this role Ruby serves and supports school districts, administrators, and school counselors who are participating in the GRASP grant.

Jocelyn joined the GOSA team as a Research Assistant. She is a recent college graduate from Georgia Southern University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in International Studies

In this role, Trevor provides logistical and operational support to the Innovative Programs Team at GOSA, specifically the Governor’s Honors Program, the RESA Professional Learning grants, and the Reading Mentors Program.

Kanti serves as a Business Intelligence Architect for the GA AWARDS longitudinal data system.

Elise joined the GOSA team in November 2017 as a Professional Learning Grants Specialist.

Jaclyn joined GOSA after working with the agency as a Policy and Advocacy Summer Fellow through Leadership for Educational Equity. 

As GOSA's system administrator, Sean acts in a technical support role both inside the GOSA team and as a technical liaison to external agencies and vendors.

Kim is the Program Manager of Teacher Development and Retention for the GSLA at the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.

In this role, David provides support to GAAWARDS as an ETL developer specializing in the transformation and normalization of data through the design and development of BI applications, dashboards, and reports.

Monica Flamini holds two bachelor's degrees in history and journalism from the University of Georgia.

Kenneth joined GOSA in July of 2018 on the Governor’s School Leadership Academy team. In this role, he supports principals in turnaround work and those aspiring to become principals in districts throughout the state.

Steve oversees the Connections for Classroom grant program, which aims to provide high-speed broadband access to schools and classrooms.

As the Senior Enterprise Data Warehouse Architect, Jayashree directs the technical design, delivery, and implementation of the GA AWARDS statewide longitudinal data system.

Richard (Ricky) joined GOSA as the Governor’s Honors Program Manager in June of 2014. Ricky has over twenty years of educational experience in both public and independent schools at both instructional and administrative levels.

Ryan Pelfrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a Master of Science in International Policy Management from Kennesaw State University.

Brian supports the GOSA staff with information technology needs. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the IT field.

Laine joined the GOSA team in June of 2019 after 36 years in PK-12 education in South Georgia. She served as Superintendent for six years in two rural school systems and as a district administrator in Human Resources and Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for three years.

Haley joined GOSA after working with the agency as a Policy & Advocacy Summer Fellow through Leadership for Educational Equity.

Marcia joined GOSA in August 2018 as a Governor’s School Leadership Academy Regional Leadership Coach. In this role, she supports principals and aspiring leaders in districts across the state in school turnaround work.

Tawni is a Professional Learning Specialist at GOSA. In this role, she helps to manage the Personalized Learning (PL) grant, which focuses on personalized and integrated learning.

Kimberly joined GOSA in July of 2015 as Program Manager for the Reading Mentor Program. 

Tandi is the Assistant Director of the Governor’s Leadership Academy where she will be supporting the development of turnaround principals and aspiring turnaround principals.
