She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia in the education administration and policy program. After receiving a Master of Education degree from Vanderbilt University, she moved to Georgia in 2018 to work as the Outcomes Measurement Manager at Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Shuyang is passionate about conducting research that advances educational equity, as well as increasing the use of evidence in decision making. She is also an instructor at Georgia State University where she teaches public policy data analysis. Shuyang is originally from China and has been living in the United States since 2012.
