Michael Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Georgia in 1993. He began his career in software/database development as a co-op student first at Berry College in 1989 and continued this experience at UGA. Michael has worked as a software engineer in multiple industries including Telecommunication, Textiles, Medical, Financial, Education and Apparel. He first worked for the State of Georgia in ITS for the University System of Georgia Board of Regents (2005 - 2011) as a data warehouse developer and then continued his government employment with the Technical College System of Georgia (2011-2015) as that agency’s team lead for the Race to the Top/GAAWARDS project. His most recent work as data architect (2015-2020) in the private sector in the Sports Apparel industry was great preparation for his new role with GOSA as BI and Data Warehouse Architect.

Michael is a native of Wilkes County Georgia and is married to his wife Denise since 1997. They have three children: two UGA juniors and a high school junior.
