Universal Reading Screeners

The Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy (Deal Center) will be issuing a Request for Information (RFI) on the Georgia Procurement Registry Website. The Deal Center is seeking information on universal reading screeners for grades K-3, as referenced in the School Supplies for Teachers Program Bill (GA SB 464) and the Georgia Early Literacy Act (HB 538). The RFI will outline minimum requirements for universal reading screeners and submission requirements, which include a narrative response, a technical manual, and a screener evidence form. Submissions will open on August 28, 2024, and close October 8, 2024. A timeline for questions and responses will also be provided in the RFI. The information gathered from this RFI will support the selection of up to five universal reading screeners to be approved by the State Board of Education as per GA SB 464.
