The Georgia Council on Literacy invites all Georgians to join Georgia Reads in our statewide effort to ensure every citizen can read and thrive.

One thing everyone agrees on is that knowing how to read is key for lifelong learning, growth, and success in all aspects of life. Academic achievement, critical thinking, effective communication, career advancement, personal enrichment, and societal advancement all rest on a foundation of literacy.
