[2012] This report uses data from 2006 to 2008 on all Georgia high school students who matriculated to a two- or four-year University System of Georgia institution immediately upon graduation.

[2014] In 2013 Georgia became one of twenty states to win funding from the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the federal Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge (RTT-ELC) grant.

[2017] Overview of the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) program in Georgia, which provides college-level courses taught by trained high school teachers within the high school setting.

[2009] The Governor's Office of Student Achievement commissioned Dr. Christopher Clark, an Economics professor at Georgia College and State University, to study the alignment of local school systems' grading practices with their EOCT results. Using data obtained from the 2006-07 school year, Dr. Clark analyzed the alignment between Georgia students' EOCT performance levels and the grades they earned in related courses.

[2008] In 2006, this initiative placed a graduation coach in each of Georgia's high schools. Due to the success of the high school program, graduation coaches were placed in each of Georgia's middle schools in the fall of 2007. The report below examines the program during the 2007-08 school year.

[2012] The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement contracted with Dr. Ben Scafidi and Dr. Chris Clark to conduct a study comparing End of Course Tests (EOCT) and Georgia High School Graduation Tests (HSGT) as predictors of post-secondary success.

[2016] This report allows users to drill down into the data from high school graduating classes between 2007 and 2014 and investigate where students enrolled in college, as well as the overall outcome of their enrollment.

[2017] The Georgia General Assembly created a Joint Study Committee on establishing a support program for Georgia's public school principals and other school leaders. Based on their recommendations, the Governor's School Leadership Academy was created, and continues to support educators across the state on their journey in the education profession. This report is for the 2016-2017 school year.

[2017] Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a national nonprofit organization that aims to promote real world, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education for K-12 students.

[2010] GOSA commissioned Dr. Ben Scafidi, Associate Professor of Economics at Georgia College & State University, to examine teacher retention using Georgia public school employment data from 1998-2009.

[2012] Overview of the reading mentor program implemented in 2012 directed toward improving the percentage of children reading at grade level by the end of third grade.

[2012] The U.S. Department of Education (US ED) granted a waiver from some accountability requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), more commonly known as No Child Left Behind (NCLB), to Georgia and ten other states. This report focuses on why Georgia pursued the waiver and on the components of the waiver that US ED required states to implement. It also incorporates Alert Schools because they are closely related to Focus Schools.

[2012-2013 through 2017-2018] The State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia (SCSC) contracted with GOSA to evaluate the performance of all state charter schools.

[2013] The initiative developed a curriculum focused on Mechatronics, an interdisciplinary field of study involving control, electronic, computer, and mechanical systems, for Tift County High School students. The report provides an overview of the program, early results, and plans for sustainability.

[2013] As part of its Race to the Top (RT3) plan in 2010, Georgia set out to increase the number of effective educators teaching in hard-to-staff schools and subject areas, including science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

[2015] In 2010, Georgia created the Innovation Fund with $19.4 million from its four-year Race to the Top (RT3) federal grant.

[2009] The Georgia General Assembly this year is considering legislation that removes incentive pay for National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT). This begs the question: are National Board Certified Teachers "Master Teachers" by definition? What does the research say about the National Board Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) process as a whole?
